Not only do the wedding bands come from the Greek Pagan beliefs but the band is placed on the left hand "ring finger",because it was believed the vein in that finger leads directly to the heart. Thus, the ring banding about that heart flow, kept the spouse (initially the woman/wife only), faithfully bound to her husband. Consider the source for this ignorant pagan slam. There are many cultures, religions, civilizations etc ..that have been subdued, overpowered or destroyed. It's human nature spanning our entire existence. Can we overcome that?...now that's something to blog about. Why doesn't everyone send her a huge gift basket with a kind message? :)
