He really isn't "stupid", no. He has a very pertinent point. Maybe Rusty is more technically adept than those he mentioned (not "the best guitarist alive right now"; if you think there is such a thing, I question your judgement), but who cares? I've never seen Rusty play anything that doesn't sound like a collection of guitar exercises played very fast, whereas the others are great musicians. Music isn't a competition.

wow your stupid. Rusty Cooley Is the best guitarist alive right now. Hes not showing off. And all jeff loomis does are sweeps for the most part. Rusty does stuff like groups of 5's over sets of two. And 7 string arpeggios instead of like 5 strings. Alexi laiho just uses pentatonics. Michael Romeo isnt as good either though.

I must say, Johnny carries out the latter half of this song better than Chris could, because it feels like the song fell apart after that pause before the long, drug out bending notes bore me to death. but the beginning of the original was executed well in the original-that opening riff draws you in for 2 choruses, then falls apart. This cover doesn't capture the opening energy, and that country twang Jonnhy lays down here doesn't fit at all, but the latter half sounds better.

I dunno... Most of the songs by them seem to follow a formula... Funky synth intro, big riff, melodic break/verse, repeat some of that a couple times... Instrumental explosion. I do enjoy it though... especially once it gets to the instrumental part. They ARE more original and talented than most stuff out there though.
