Haha it's funny you should say that... That is a great question and I have read so many times from Chris and Debbie that they had no part in selecting songs for singles. Perhaps that was the nature of the business back then but I think artists today have more control over things like that...because let's face it they wrote all these songs so they should have a say. I'm a self-professed radio geek and worked in radio for a few years on-air. This particular track, sounded like a "chart-bound" or "hit-bound" melody that almost sounds campy. good question, couple of points... - Both Eat To The Beat and Parallel Lines featured a high density of quality singles, so the theory goes, only an "X" amount will be allocated as singles. - Both albums mentioned were released in the late '70's, Blondie's sound was still considered unconventional by top 40 radio, even though they moved a little more to the mainstream with the two albums mentioned. great band, great sound, made great records that stand the test of time.

Chas, not really easy to explain the music of the late 70's It is what it is.......New wave and Punk music I like them both I do not fit any class plus love my Goth music. I feel there all the same. Blondie was pure pop with punk aggression. she had her own class. And had many that cloned her style.

You are correct, I see the racket twists because the ball hits not in it's center of gravity or the sweet spot. I see the ball twists the racket facing down and up, a great effort for the wrist to react to let the racket face stay vertical especially hitting and receiving tremendous power. I now understand why most players think there is a wrist action. I see it's a wrist re-action to let the racket stay vertical during the powerful impact, proving newton's third law of motion.
