Exactly what I'm trying to say. I personally don't smoke cigarettes because I think it would be stupid for me to start (I lost a couple family members to lung cancer), but I'm not going to try and stop people who do. I can't stand those people who walk into bars where people are smoking and cough really loud so everyone can hear them, and I can't stand organizations that try and illegalize tobacco, let people live their damn lives...

Good for you. But when I was in college I knew plenty of people who smoked, and yep, they did stupid things.All the time.Once in a while here and there??? yeah, sure, harmlesss, wont kill ya. But dope and tobacco are addictive and, the bad thing about pot is that it gives you delusions of being normal...thats what makes it so much fun.

Me, I find myself much more focused, lucid and *Zen* while high...fr'instance, while driving, I am TOTALLY concentrated on what I'm doing. I'm right on the speed-limit and I'm aware of EVERYTHING around me. I don't do "stupid" things while high. I enjoy the company of friends. Relax and feel good. Enjoy the enhanced-pleasure of good music...and making-out is even MORE heavenly.

Amen. "The Man" makes life a stress-hell then tells the working person he/she can't burn one at the end of the day to chill-out...yet people can go into a bar, get drunk, get into a car, and then kill innocent people. INSANE. Guess alcohol is just the establishment's drug-of-choice. Too bad...hemp has so many other beneficial uses, also. Anyway, I *LOVE* the Flintstones!!!! Yeah this is freaky, but it was just a different time.

Pot's short term effects are worse than tobacco. People do stupid things when they are high and their decision making and reaction time deteriorate.Studies show intense pot use over the years actually destroys brain cells. In addition, when you buy pot you are helping to keep drug criminals in business, including the guys who deal in the harder stuff.

Why not just let people enjoy their lives? Sure Marijuana is a safer choice than tobacco and will probably benefit you in the long run, but I don't understand why the government should step in and ruin someone's life when they aren't hurting anyone.

that's what i'm saying! my grandpa was put on oxygen 11 years ago and he died 6 years ago. while he was oxygen everyone had to be careful not to step on the cords to his oxygen machine. when he went out, he had to carry around a oxygen tank around everywhere. he told me a few months before he died that he regretted smoking in the first place because of the way he turned out. smoking's stupid and it's a waste of money.

I just buried my father who started when he was 14, and though he lived til he was 70 the last years were very slowed down and painful due to cancer, emphasema and high blood pressure. They amputated a finger due to poor circulation, and when he died he was such a human skeleton I could hold him like a baby.He could have had another 10 years if he hadnt smoked.that would have been sweet. For Gods, sake, QUIT!!
