C'est vraiment bon ! POur ce qui est de l'accent, ça ne se passe pas dans un studio d'enregistrement de radiophonie et, pour répondre à Newnumide, les accents étaient très prononcés encore en 49, oui. Il faut dire qu'à cette époque la normalisation télévisuele, radiophonique et autres médias sonores, ne faisait pas la loi comme aujourd'hui.

The previous giant-ape movies "King Kong" and "Son of Kong" were plagued by the problem of "rippling" or "creeping" fur, caused by the animator's fingers leaving marks on the ape's fur each time it was re-positioned for the next frame. It's a bit hard to tell from this low-quality video, but by the time this picture was made, that problem had been solved. A light application of mineral oil prevented the finger marks from showing -- and gave the ape's coat a nice, healthy sheen!

I thought the remake with Charlize Theron wasn't bad at all. It was played fairly straight, not "camp," and Joe was convincingly brought to life using a mix of animatronics, costumed actors and CGI. Besides, it had CHARLIZE THERON!

Had that recording, and Autry's others - Rudolph, Here Comes Santa Claus, Peter Cottontail, etc. Our young people would benefit from hearing these originals to really hear what they're suppose to sound like instead of the corrupt versions they hear now - to the point that the original melodies aren't even recognizeable anymore.
