All Artists take a bit from the Past Artists that Influenced them,even Sub Conciously. This Song is definite a Producers Studio Masterpiece,Cmon this guys vocals is nothing to write home about.I give hime credits this was b4 Pro Tools..I think it was Produced in Criteria In N.Miami Florida,I think.

for the people wondering about which beatles song it is that influenced this tune, I know that there are a couple obvious ones... strwberry fields w/ the flute melotron sound, and half of the chords to "as my guitar gently weeps" in the bridge... just to name a few. And I guess we should also take note of the blatant little richard rip off with the "Wooooo" at the turn. No need to hate tho

I agree. There are elements of the Beatles in the music but who hasn't been influenced by the Beatles anyway. This is my favourite Cheap Trick song with "I Want You To Want Me". This is an all time classic.

you will find most modern songs are hendrix knock offs if you look at the chord progressions and instrumentation that hendrix founded in his life, he was the only true artist

The argument could be made that almost every pop/rock song written after 1968 (post White Album) is a Beatles knock off in one way or another. Anyway, if Cheap Trick wants to write more "knock offs" like this one, I say, go for it. This is an extremely well-written tune. FAX

What's wrong if it is a Beatles knockoff? Many have tried to imitate them, but few have made good music in the process. If this is a Beatles knockoff, than it's the best I've ever heard and I'm speaking as a devout Beatles fan. The Beatles was a great group and so was Cheap Trick. They both have a great catalogue of music, and they both are very well respected in the music community. The lead singer's name is Robin Zander. He has one of the best voices in rock history.
