The technology will not come out because the oil companies have the car industry on lock down. Yeah they might give us a break on prices every now and then but we can't determine those prices until we get them off our backs. Any technology that comes out gets bought up by the oil giants before its patented.

The ideas were out there, but the engaged management was not. We pay and they pay the price! The Middle East would be a different place right now if we had explored this technology. We had a fuel crisis in 1974 but did not heed the warnings. So now the whole world pays for their stupidity! Jack

exactly right! a car running on electricity has very low maintenance due to the fact that it does not require a drive train. A motor can be incorporated in each wheel and controlled via microprocessor to deliver a more powerfull and efficient handling vehicle.
By: theebz1. on 17 Nov 08, 07:02:12
since Jack's project presumably some time ago going off the amount of hair on his head and the model of car used, not to mention the sunnies, the efficiency of electrolysis, where water is split into hydrogen and oxygen, has become so much more efficient using simple electronics together with an advanced fuel cell to the point where the energy (as hydrogen) produced is much greater than the amount of energy (as electricity) required to produce it. The third industrial revln is beginning now!

I drive around with a Pontiac Firefly which gets me 50 to 60 miles per gallon! A one(1) litre,3 cillinder engine. You have to be NUTS to haul around a ton or two of metal around and pay for the gas!

The big money makers are screwing the world and they donīt care if we get extinct... now we can spread the word... and we can make somthing about it...donīt remain neutral, resistance is victory, stand up and fight, consume less from big corporations, 1/3 less by millions is a big hit for them. Screw them!

There is nothing better than a vintage 50s car modified into one of these type. It may cost a bit but if you can get an old car for less than 10 grand and modify it. It willc cost less than a newer car (that's usually of poor quality) and you get more bang for your buck.
By: verdemanthe1. on 22 Oct 08, 04:27:16
fuck i have no hope they shut jack up an hes got more money than ill ever have ive been working on hydrogen for three years it would be easy to turn any carbureted gas hog to hydrogen but they'll say your setup is dangerous "you cant drive around with a bomb in your trunk" i guess a tank of gasoline is very safe we might as well blow ourselves up cause the government wont let us be free ever

Don't forget, the media lives off advertisement. Most money comes from the petrochemical- and other oil related industries. Promoting this stuff is a kind of suicide for them. It's great CBC decided to show it to us. 5 star news :-)

Why do we not hear more about stuff like this? I bet the multi-billion dollar oil companies hate it. I, for one, think it is a great, and Essential idea for people and the planet. Great stuff. Now where can I get one of these...

As I've gotten closer to bringing my EV Probe to the road, I'm disgusted with the feckless efforts the car makers are INSULTING US with! It's not very hard to make a car run on batteries -- I'm doing it for around $4,000 TOTAL COST. And it will be just as functional and have the same range as the electric only Chevy Volt -- BUT FOR 1/10TH THE COST!!! Surely, with all the resources available to them, the could do far better than a peon like me!! IF ONLY THEY ACTUALLY **WANTED** TO!!!!!
By: drizzle1966. on 05 Oct 08, 21:37:58
As for govt. barricading the road ahead with red tape, well... I've gotten interested in various companies' and private enterprises' efforts to bring alternatives to the marketplace as I've gotten personally involved in finding ways to reduce the gas pump's long reach into my short pocket... I have adapted a 1999 Diesel Suburban to run on free fuel in the form of Vegetable Oil discarded from restaurants. Now, I am converting a '96 Probe to run on electricity.

Government (all of them not just ours -- U.S.), Big Oil, and the Auto Manufacturers are all in an bed of collusion together... Each of them have a grand stake in keeping us addicted to oil. The Oil Co's stake is obvious, but our government make more money (for producing NOTHING, incidentally) than Big Oil does off of each gallon sold. They collect hundreds of BILLIONS of dollars each year from our pockets... And as stated, the Auto Manufacturers' stake is profits from dealer repairs, etc...

Dear 911, Gas powered cars are not very cost efficient. They are expensive to manufacure and expensive to operate. The reason is a reciprocating engine has loads of moving bits that grind against eachother and break down. One of the reasons why GM pulled the EV1 is that a big part of their income from a car sale comes from replacement parts and the EV1 would only pull in 5% of what a gas car would in parts and service. They dont want alternatives, status quo is cash in their pocket.
