Ok, I gotta' eat "big bad crow" on this one!!!! I just went to the enyclopedia thing on Big Mama, and it appears that Liber and Stoler really did write this song. (Boy what a duo they were) so I was wrong that Big Mama wrote it, but I still say that we need to try and respect her for doing it before Elvis, but I personally still love Elvis's more "rock and roll" version of this song. Hey, all you Elvis mashers and Big Mama mashers, let's look at the reality here. In my eyes, Big Mama did it first, she had a ton of soul, and sang her ass off, then Elvis did a more "rock and roll" version of the song, that I personally like, but they're two differen versions. Let's be fair. They both did a good job in my book, but by all means let's give Big Mama some credit for writing it and performing it first. Marc Trainor.
