Yes I did finally track it down. You must speak with Mister Iturralde directly to buy the parts - it was $410. My college saxophone professor was able to find Iturralde's phone number for his house in Spain, but is highly against giving it out. So you may have to try and contact Pedro some other way. Good Luck and sorry I can't be of any more help.

Since music was made for enjoyment more than anything else, in my opinion a great musician is someone who can perform or pen a song that someone can truly enjoy, the best of who can bring something revolutionary to the music world (such as bach, thelonious monk, chuck berry to name a few). So instead of bringing your snobbery to people that enjoy such great works why don't you go praise someone you do like. O and FYI Lena park wrote and produced every song in her last album.

Also, performers are banal? Really? Where do you think Masato Honda started? His written works didn't see light until after he quit t-square and even now he's not known for being a great composer, but a brilliant sax player. He was able to put his written work out there by separating himself from other performers, first and foremost as a great sax player. Also, is it wrong for a musician to pursue virtuosity rather than composing original works? Does that choice degrade his/her musicianship?

Wow can you say music snob? The word musician is defined as a person that performs OR composes music. So then is it not true that a great performer is a great musician? Also, "given enough time, a monkey could perform"? As a musician that teaches for a living, my answer is: no, definitely not. Some people got it some people don't. Do you really think that everyone can sing like pavarotti or play like yo-yo ma? If you can really say yes to that question then do it and go sell a million albums.

Also, musicianship? What constitutes great musicianship? If you can say that credentials and mainstream media is the worst thing to judge an artist by, then you must understand that preference is really the only thing left. What makes composers look down on singers? I've seen great songwriters that couldn't sing worth a crap and I've met great singers that couldn't compose a good song to save their own lives. Lena park is a singer. It's amazing how the group has evolved over the years through the different players and sounds.Like each phase,the songs were built around the strengths of each sax player and how each one sings a different way.There are some tunes Masato's style just wouldn't fit right and others,Takeshi's playing would not be cutting enough power and bite.Takahiro seems to have the balance of both...Power and presence.

This is really nice... it's hard to find sax players that play something melodic like this guy or Kaori Kobayashi... usually it's the jazz wanking. (Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of jazz,I LOVE jazz... but almost every saxophonist on youtube plays 1/256 notes and it's kind of annoying and not as pleasant to the ear as this kind of stuff. Speed + Ego = bad :P )

I just can't get past the the shitty low B, Bb and C# keys on the VII. I'm more of a believer that ever saxophone is unique, and as far as selmer goes the difference between a good Reference, mark VI, Mark VII, or balanced action is little as far as a good tone goes. Rest of your voice is up to you.

Thank you for showing that a good mark VII can sound just as sweet (and play better in tune) than a mark VI. Mark VII's have gotten a bad rap for too long. I've had one since 1978, and wouldn't trade it in for most mark VI's I've played.
