generally telecasters permit less mistakes, by this i mean that if you don't hit a note correctly it will show that much more than say with a les paul. Beginners (like me ) may find this hard but generally it makes a guitar player better. I mean if you can play a tune on a tele correctly you can play it on any guitar :D

I tried several of them and they're o.k. but they don't get that shimmery clean like BF Fenders IMO. The NOS version however is pretty damn good, I'd look at those if you want a Blues Jr. Never used them with pedals however, I wish I knew how to wire reverb to a Vibro champ, that'd be pretty cool.

That's a good question?? I look like one of those cymbal pics made out of copper but I could be wrong. If it is a metal pick, that would be giving his tone, again, a more acoustic ringing tone (which is what his tone has). This guy sounds fantastic, I mean I wish I could play like EVH or the guy from Tool but when I hear such harmonic brilliance and simplicity I just think why bother? Ronnie Earl is one of my favorites and this guys sounds like a tele version of Earl!

1. You're an idiot. It has PLENTY to do with the Custom Shop, how about you do some research before spouting off this drivel? It is designed by Chris Fleming, a Master Builder of the Custom Shop. It has Custom Shop pickups (Broadcaster and Twisted Tele) and a "Custom Shop Designed" Neckplate.

The playing didn't exactly show off the twang the Tele is known for, or maybe the Baja just doesn't have that. If it was made in Mexico, there's no way it had ANYTHING to do with the Fender custom shop either, not that there's anything wrong with a Mexicanmade Tele. The guitar does sound pretty good, nice, full tone. You can make a Tele sound like a lot of things, but you can't make anything sound like a Tele.

I was looking for a Tele half a year ago and checked out the Highway One, The Baja introduced here, the American Standard and a Japanese Tele. The Baja is best value for money and combines authenticity, vintage sound and the flexibility you can hear in this video. The vintage bridge gives it the typical Tele-twang sound. But it is a really heavy guitar and the neck is not very fast - 50ies style... All in all a great guitar for a good price!

you need gain to make it sound like that, check your amp to see if it has a gain button/knob on it and if not you can always buy a pedal and plug it into the amp to get the noise. If you need to get a pedal i recommend a 'behringer ultra fuzz', its a budget one with a great sound!

im gonna assume that you are talking about distortion, most amps have an overdrive or distortion channel on them if yours has one then just put it on that channel or you can get a distortion pedal which have a pretty wide price range but you can find some decent ones for not to much. hope that helps

The Mexican made Strat feels so flimsy. It's the first guitar I tried. At first I thought it was nice, but then I tried a Schecter and wow. So much better. I ended up getting a Hellraiser C-1 FR, but I also tried the ones at the price range of the MexiStrat. Schecter's I think are so much better made. So having said that, I think any Schecter that is the same price as the MexiStrat will sound and feel better.

I bought this amp after i decided a marshall 100w head and quad box were a bit loud for a bedroom.... Wicked amp. Distortion is not a patch on the marshall, but thats what effects are for. The clean tone alone is worth it, and it has plenty of balls. Goes SO well with a strat.

Tube amps can do anything, metal sounds very sweet on a tube. But for metal you should consider 15W+ for practice or 30W+ for live. This prevents unwanted tube saturation at high volumes. I say this because for metal you will want to use a distortion pedal unless you invest in a metal high gain amp such as Randall, Engl or Mesa/Boogie. Personally I don't like Randall, but at the end of the day its up to you.

Yeah, this amp responds great to pedals. The clean tone on any amp is the basis upon which you sculpt your tone, so when you have a beautiful Fender clean like this (which I have), and you throw on an MXR 108 Fuzz (also have, highly recommend), you get a real nice Sunshine of Your Love/Purple Haze tone! Best of luck.

Squire with out a doubt is cheap and get different pick ups. I have a Roland vga5 amp and I play a 1000 dollar G n L guitar and I do not get the full tone of my instrument. If ur starting out then yes that would be best but eventually you will want that tone.
