Yeah, this demo was probably done on a Mac Pro with at least 4 cores (more likely 8), 5 or 6 GB or RAM, and a GeForce 7800, 8800, Quadro 4500, 5600, or ATI 1900 or 3870. Hardware in the machine you're running makes a huge difference with VMWare Fusion 3D graphics - I upgraded my Hackintosh from a Core2Duo e8400 to a Core2Quad q9450 and noticed a boost in 3d rendering.

It doesn't look 3D to you? What are you a one eyed monster who lacks depth percetion? It is very 3D mind you. It just happens to be of very low resolution. The monsters ARE 2D. The only 3D stuff were the maps. This game was the balls in a multiplayer match with 10 other people! I grew up playing games such as DN3D and Descent. Also Kings Quest 7: The Princeless Bride. God how I loved those days... You stinking humans have been spoiled with your uber 3D-ness of DOOM!!! ZIM HAS SPOKEN!!

This is my all-time favorite game. If any game has withstood the test of time and had a good time customizing, it's this game. I'm mostly a classic gamer trying to look for classic gems. Because while newer games can be fun, you still don't forget your classics. I even still mod up my Duke Nukem 3D to this day. I still miss playing this on Win95 or Win98 with XP and Vista's complete disregard for DOS (I don't trust DOSBox). Playing JFDuke3D is still a worthy alternative.

Man good old times. Even tough Im 22 ... I got a room dedicated to all of this chilhood stuff :). Got my PentiumI, my Sega, Nintendo,PlaystationI and all of my games stocked in it. Once a year I get stuck in there for at least half a day and 2008 becomes 1996 again :D. Best of all ... my friends trew all their stuff away.
