I feel into the Nature's Gate trap, too.I would just get them after rave reviews, then go home to find that it had some unneccessary ingredients. So now I check everything, lol But you don't have to throw it away. Just prepoo before every Shampoo until you find an alternative. Aubrey Organics Island Naturals is a really good on.

Having invested a small fortune in what I thought were great natural products for my hair (ones that came highly recommended), I certainly didn't think it was necessary to check the ingredients of my products! After watching your vid, do you know that every one of the many shampoos I have by "Nature's Gate" has sodium laurel sulfite in it!? :( I guess it just goes to show that reading labels *is* very important, as is getting product recommendations. THANX!

I don't think you were supposed to add the moisturizer to the homemaded jojoba gel. The one I use is Shea Moisture's Shea Butter Leave in, it's thick, but once you rub in between your hands and apply it to your hair, it quickly absorbs.

Hi. I tried the recipe for the homemade jojoba jel curly custard. It didnt work for me...maybe because i didnt use the shea moisturizer. I used the cantu cream shea butter leave-in moisturizer. When I finished mixing the products, it looked like grits and I couldnt wash it out of my hair until the 3rd wash.What do you think I did wrong? is your shea moisturizer a liquid? Exactly what is the name of your shea moisturizer. Other than that, I followed everything to a t.
