Well, honestly that is highly subjective. Personally, I have been listening to manson since 1994 and I tend to associate with "goth" culture. However, MM can be labled as shock rock/metal or neo-goth. It is hard to define what "goth" is anyway, there are so many interpretations. JUst because a person adorns all black and likes dark aesthetics does not make them a goth. Likewise a person can wear a vast amount of color and seem more average(normal) and be a goth.

I rock an AMD Phenom X4 9550(2.2GHz) with GeForce 9800GT + 4Gigs of RAM. It should be more than enough to play the game @1680x1050, but it laggs like a motherfucker. So full of bugs this game. I hope Gothic 4 won't be released in its beta stage. P.S. Still a really cool game this one, just a little buggy and laggy.

Great game, but I just couldn't finish it. Too many crashes and technical issues, even though my PC should be well up to running it. I ended up having a love/hate experience with G3. It's a shame, because aside from technical issues and sometimes lame-ass combat this could've been a really awesome game. Incidentally Gothic 1 is still one of my favourite RPGs ever.

Das ist eben genau die falsche Erklärung. So wie du es geschrieben hast nimmt es die normale Bevölkerung auf. In der normalen Welt ist schwarz eine 'schlechte' Farbe, in der Gothic-Welt ist schwarz eine 'gute' Farbe. Und Trauer ist nun mal was vom Schlechten auf der Welt ;)

Nach einem kurzen Moment des Fassens muss ich sagen, eine sehr eindrucksvolle Erklärung, die mit vielen Stereotypen aufräumt, dazu sehr gelungen musikalisch untermalt. vorreiter dieser bewegung wren u.a. depeche mode.. die allerdings nur indirekt beteiligt waren, da sie es bis heute bestreiten je zu diesem genre gehört zu haben. etwa in den '90er jahren enstand allmählich auch der heute industrial, welcher von den "ursprünglichen" gothics meist verachtet wird, da er ihrer meinung nach nichts mehr mit gothic zu tun hat. ps: ansonsten gefällt mir das video, bzw diese "aufklärung" sehr gut^^

dass "gerücht", dass gothics satanisten sind entstand daurch, dass in den frühen '80 Jahren vermehrt anhänger dieser musikbewegung auf friedhögfen randaliert, bzw. grabschändung etc. betrieben haben. dadurch wird auch immer gesagt, dass gothics auf friedhöfe gehen etc., was aber nur weilweise stimmt. im laufe der jahre entstanden dann aus dem damaligen batcave neue musikrichtungen, wie z.B gothic-rock, darkwave etc.

ein kleiner fehler bzw. eine tatsache, die nicht erwähnt wird, was mir gleich als erstes aufgefallen ist: gothic war *ursprünglich* eine reine "musikbewegung", entsprungen aus dem punk. So kam man schließlich zum batcave und post-punk(sisters of mercy, bauhaus etc.).
