I have vivid memories of seeing Hawkwind in 1973. Front row, stoned, just in front of the bass bins, so loud it shook you in your seat, great music and on top of that Stacias wonderful breasts bouncing up and down not 20 feet away. I was 20 and in heaven :) Great times.

How can you see them? It's dark and she's wearing black. I agree with the comment above. Hawkwind is actually better than Motorhead - in my view. This is a bizarre space where prog rock, punk and metal meet.

i caught HAWKWIND several times in small venues in akron and cleveland,ohio....they are the world's best kept secret...very spacey/trippy light show and an excellent performance both times...this band never got it's dues...truly one of the best....bravo!!!

The Helicopter Quartet is one of his most difficult works. It makes more sense when you see and hear it in connection with the rest of LICHT. I understand that it shocks people that haven't understood this connection (or don't know LICHT, like in your case). Adding something to the western classical tradition was always important to KS. If shocking was his only purpose, musicians and concertorganisers wouldn't go through all the trouble it takes to stage this piece!

It's less bloody and brutal than the OVA, this was like toned down to be more like a children's show meanwhile the OVAs stuck more to the manga and included all the violence. I highly doubt Fischer'd have lost. Fischer's game was very very strong, and it is not even that apparent until you really study his games. They look idiotically simple, and yet he wins in just a few moves. You look at a position 10 moves before he wins and you say,this is an even position, and 10 moves later, the opponent resigns. Even what'd normally pass as draws, is not really a draw where Fischer is concerned. I have to admit, he is far the strongest of all of them.

Fischer is a chess phenomenon, not just a very powerful player...He 'conquered' the game itself at his best. The same happen in kasparov's and karpov's era; they were unstoppable...Now we have anand & kramnik (i hope morozevich continues his punches :) ) to rule the chess world... Fisher too was also a master of a new generation. He was 15 when he became a GM. He was the top player in the US by the age of 13. On the world championship he dominated the GMs of his day beating the russian and danish GMs 6-0. Such was unheard of at the time. Poor Bobby self distructed due to mental illness. Perhaps if he was given help when he needed it the most we could have an answer on who was better.

I remember this routine and could not believe what she did. Olga became a star in a minute or two. She was critisized for not having any twisting in her routines, but I give her credit for what she did. The routines are so different and so difficult (scary difficult) recently. Today's competitors weren't even born when Olga competed. Olga was special, and she got thousands of children into gyms to learn her sport. What is Olga doing today---I hope she is coaching?!

i watched this, and i watched nadia's. live. lol and i remember we wanted a ten for olga, but we were all sitting around talking about how they werent allowed to give them. ? i was 11. back then, olga was our idol, even after nadia. any gymnast would always comment on olga in any Nadia conversation. how she should have gotten the first ten. also, olga did get a ten. before these olympics. in another competition. also, remember Nellie Kim, first perfect 10 on floor, or Ludmilla Tourischeva,?

It's flawless because he DID win, it doesn't matter by how much. I haven't seen the 1500 race so i can't say anything about that. It was lucky yes, but it takes luck to win races, thats just the truth. The tactic was flawless because he did win and he didn't put himself in oxygen debt by going out to fast like the other runners could have.

Watching this video still has me wondering why all of those comments when she crossed into her "marble index" look a few years before this interview. In my opinion, this interview proves she didn't really make her appearance "awful and ugly" as all of those comments made her to be. Good thing she just laughed them all off and just moved forward.
