@JinXuanJun do an ambient occlusion render. go into hypershade and create a surface shader under the maya render nodes. then under the mental ray tab in hypershade create an ambient occlusion node and plug it into the the surface shader node. it should go into the default option. then double click on the occlusion node and in the attribute editor and set the samples to 64. make the white colour chip a really light grey. now apply the surface shader to the model.

Render of this was super simple. I use Mental ray to render. Turned on Final Gathering, changed the camera background colour to white and added a single directional light from above at an angle with a really low intensity (like 0.185 or something)and raytrace shadows with a light angle of 8 or something.

It's definitely the best version I've ever seen of Bejar choregraphy. I find the music for this one too fast. Ravel was right, it should last around 17mn to get all its sensuality. It's a pity that the recent versions the men are all half naked, I find each of them keep a certain personality when they're dressed differently.

@subulouse Just hit space and hold it... go to the east of your screen and hit the right mouse butten... here are all the things like status line, time slider etc... click on the one you need If that doesn't work, you can also delete the preferences, by deleting the maya folder in my documents (first copy it for backup reasons...)

I read most of the comments, praising this dance. Unfortunately, I just couldn't get into it. There was no story telling, inner expression, light or joy. Maya said it best in an interview a few years ago, "Go to the circus if you want to see tricks. In the theater there is art." Unfortunately, someone talked Maya into going to the circus, because I am finding it difficult to see the art. I've seen Maya interpret her dance in exemplary fashion. Terribly sad that this isn't one of them.
