Its based on a metephor for the nature of our futile exsitance by the philospher Camus. The story he created was about a character called sysiphus who was instructed to role a boulder up a hill, roll it down again and then push it up, for infinity. To esacpe form the shear pointlesness of his task he prescribed meaning to what he was doin. This , camus says , is basicly what we do when we create our religous explanations for the "meaning" of life!

Not just 86 ... if whats left of my memory remembers right, it was first shown during the break of one of Scotland's World Cup matches in 86. It had everyone talking about it the next day. It was an incredible advert, and it worked just as the men in suits would have wanted it to - we were all talking about it the next day, and its certainly stuck in my mind for, what, 21 years?

God, those adverts bring back some childhood memories for me. I found myself singing along to the Delux ad and I think its been 17 years since I last ever seen it. Amazing. That McEwans lager add tops the lot. It was the first ad shown on new years day years ago. "You've Got The Power" by Win. I have it on 12"...

Yeah they still do Jungle Fever but I think it's nothing like this anymore. They promote together with Jungle Heat so they call it "Heaver" these days. Also the couple I went, main room played regular DnB and room 2 was Old Skool room where they played jungle.
