It's 11 strings if it's the same guitar he normally uses. I play a 10-string myself for baroque stuff. His is probably tuned GABCDEADGBE and he would probably tune the extra bass strings to the key you're in or to sympathetic notes. The videos on here never do these instruments justice though, the extra strings truly make it sound superior to a normal guitar in resonance, balance and volume.

I wondered about that myself. It looks like he's using M,A,M,A for some things. I think that is because when you are stretching your hand out to put the thumb on those low basses, it becomes difficult to use I,M, so you are forced to use M and A more.

Maybe because he wasn't to create a more staccato feel to it. But actually, I think it's just more conveniant to him, I can't hear the difference between that and the pieces where he does play i,m,i,m. For really good guitarists, that doesn't really matter; they can make it sound good anyway.

This is a bolivian composition by Adrian Patiño, Qhunuskiwa is aymara for "Nevando está" (roughly translated). It is no "carnavalito" but was originally meant to be arranged to a fox-trot-ish rythm. I doubt this has anything to do with Argentina, other than a probable late performance of the piece, which has even been covered in rock format. Anyway it ain't such a mesmerizing performance either, but truth be told, this is a bolivian classic.

Sorprendente interpretación del maestro Söllscher: Un sueco interpretando con gran sensibilidad(y claridad) una música muy Argentina. Hay que mencionar que en la partitura de esta pieza se señala al autor de "Nevando está" como Adrián Patiño y que la versión para guitarra que escuchamos con Göran fue hecha (y también grabada) por otro increible guitarrista, cantante y compositor: Eduardo Falú
